California Zoo Offers Exclusive Opportunity To Meet Jaguar Cubs

Posted: Updated:
PALM DESERT, CA -

Many Zoo-goers now have the opportunity to get a behind the scenes experience with some new animals at the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens.

Visitors will now get to meet two 15-week-old jaguar cubs. The cubs are the first to ever be born at the Living Desert.

As the mother jaguar continues her new start of motherhood, she is handling it pretty well.

“I think she exceeded everybody's expectations. She's very caring towards them and extremely protective," said Rebecca Brown.

The cubs will not be out in the exhibit right away, but they are set to debut in the early fall.

Until then, The Living Dessert will offer a behind the scene access tour to meet the Zoo's newest members.

"They're adorable, Where else do you get to go behind the scenes and sit and watch mom and the cubs," Brown said.

The price ranges from $300 to $275 for Zoo members. Profits from this exhibit goes towards the funding of the Zoo's conservation, preservation and survival species programs.
