PHILADELPHIA -

Funeral services will be held Monday for the woman whose body was found in a Northeast Philadelphia park.

Police say Christopher Murray strangled his wife, Connie, and left her body in Pennypack Park.

Her remains were discovered on Tuesday. Investigators spent the days after that combing the park for clues.

Police say Murray filed a missing person's report and searched the park himself with his daughter, but something wasn't right.

"There were certain parts of his story that just didn't add up," Philadelphia Police Lt. Philip Riehl said. "Didn't seem, his story about his wife was missing but contacted nobody, no friends, no family to find out if she was with them. Instead immediately went to hospitals and went to the police station seemed almost a show."

Police say surveillance video shows the couple having a brief conversation at Murray's car as she went for a walk near the park. They say the two got into a fight and had ongoing relationship problems.

Murray confessed after he failed a lie detector test, police said and he was charged with murder Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe.com page has been setup to raise money for the couple's daughters ages 12 and 15.

And a Facebook page is asking police to donate the reward money to the girls has also been established.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley reported live Monday morning from outside police headquarters with the details.
