The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the possible abduction of an 18-year-old Bedford Township woman, Hayley Turner.

Sheriff Dale Malone said in a press conference Friday morning Hayley went missing as she was out renting a movie.

He says Hayley was on her way home from the Family Video store near Dean Road and Lewis Avenue Thursday night when she called her friend around 10:08 p.m. While she was on the phone, she told her friend she saw a man lying in the ditch and that she was going to check on him.

Malone says Hayley told her friend seconds later that the man had a gun and the phone call disconnected.

The friend immediately called Hayley's father, who drove to the scene within minutes. He found Hayley's vehicle idling near the area of Dean Road and Crabb Road. Hayley was nowhere to be found.

Crews are searching the area where Hayley made the phone call. Sheriff Malone says investigators are also following up on several leads right now.

HAYLEY'S DESCRIPTION

 - White female with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes
 - 5 feet 0 inches tall
 - Weighs approximately 130 pounds
 - Last seen wearing black yoga pants and an orange T-shirt

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau at (734) 240-7530 or (734) 240-7700.

We get into the race for Governor and that open U.S. Senate seat with the two most political guys in Michigan. The chairmen of the state Republican and Democratic parties join us to talk issues and probably slinging a little mud. Plus, we'll talk to someone who's bringing a branch of the Satanic Temple to Detroit. What do they really believe in? (hint: it's not worshipping the devil)
