ARMADA, Mich. (WJBK) -  Wearing pink, the mother of 14-year-old April Millsap's boyfriend - remembered the teen Thursday as the small village of Armada tries to cope.

"It's very hard, it's in such a spotlight, as a mom you don't think it's going to be like this," said Monique Albertson, mother of April Millsap's boyfriend. "Everyone is just hanging in there the best we can. It's overwhelming."

Albertson, joining hundreds of people, police, classmates - most wearing pink which was April Millsap's favorite color.

"We're celebrating the life of April and just trying to support her family," said resident Julianne Suchomel.

And beyond pink ribbons, wrapped around nearly every tree were pink signs and shirts asking for justice.

"It's horrible," said Armada resident Dawn  Wrubel. "How can they take a 14-year-old girl that is just so innocent?"

April was found dead in a wooded area nearly a week ago -- 15-feet from Macomb Orchard trail -- where she walked her dog Penny, daily. Since then -- Armada, state and county police -the FBI -- asking for tips on a composite sketch of a person of interest and a blue and white motorcycle -- both seen in the area, when April was murdered.

"It could also be a moped, a scooter, we're kind of looking for a two-wheel motorized vehicle," said Lt. Michael Shaw of the Michigan State Police.

Receiving nearly 600 tips, police,  searching a home on Marquette in Goodells Thursday -- where neighbors say a known sex offender lives -- with his son. Neighbors say the man rides a blue and white motorcycle.

"I've seen him riding it, but we haven't seen him riding it recently," said neighbor Rhonda O'Donnell.

The two men in custody  police say, are awaiting arraignment for a  marijuana grow operation.

We don't want the public to think that the case is closed or over with, that's not the case," Shaw said. "We're going to be out here all night and all day tomorrow until this case is solved.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the tip line at 877-616-4677.

We get into the race for Governor and that open U.S. Senate seat with the two most political guys in Michigan. The chairmen of the state Republican and Democratic parties join us to talk issues and probably slinging a little mud. Plus, we'll talk to someone who's bringing a branch of the Satanic Temple to Detroit. What do they really believe in? (hint: it's not worshipping the devil)
