9 Rainbow stores close Tuesday in the Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

As Roundy's continues to make its way out of the Twin Cities, 9 Rainbow stores will close on Tuesday.

The Milwaukee-based company announced in May that 18 stores were included in a $65 million deal, with Supervalu converting 10 of them to Cub Foods stores, while 2 were purchased by Lunds Food Holdings and are now Byerly's stores. Jerry's Enterprises, Haug Enterprises and Radermacher Enterprises are also part of the purchasing group.

Some of the 9 expected to close Tuesday that are not included in the Roundy's sale might not become grocery stores, the Star Tribune reported.
