Atlanta natives Blair Wagoner and Sara Lamond are excited to announce the opening of their new eco-beauty bar and natural skincare boutique in Virginia Highland called “Fig & Flower.” The 900 square-foot space includes two eco-make-up stations, a “soap bar” and the largest selection of natural make-up, hair care, skincare, and beauty products for men, women and children in the Atlanta area. The boutique also offers gift concierge services, make-up applications, private eco-beauty parties, and beauty bag cleanouts, which include a complimentary makeover with a $35 make-up purchase.

DIY Recipes

For Teens

Skin Toner
1 tea bag
4 ounces water
4 ounces apple cider vinegar (preferably organic)
2-3 drops tea tree oil

Bring water to a boil.  Pour over tea bag and steep for 2-3 minutes.  Let cool.
Pour 2 ounces of brewed tea into spray bottle.  Add apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil.  Gently shake to combine.
Apply with reusable cotton round or mist directly on face after cleansing.  Can mist throughout the day to refresh skin.

For Men

Men's pomade (for facial hair or coif)

Equal parts beeswax
jojoba oil
Coconut oil OR shea butter and essential oils.

Melt beeswax in a double boiler over low heat.  When the beeswax is melted, add in shea butter.  When the mixture is melted, add jojoba and stir until just melted.  Pour mixture into a container and allow to cool slightly, then add essential oil.

Skin Sensitivity

Coffee & Sugar Body Scrub
1/4 cup coarsely ground coffee
1/4 cup turbinado sugar
2 TBSP melted coconut oil (can adjust amount depending on your preference)

Caffeine from coffee tightens skin and increases circulation thereby decreasing the appearance of cellulite.  Sugar acts as an exfoliant to get rid of dead skin cells.  Coconut oil moisturizes skin.  The combination of these three simple ingredients promotes healthy, glowing skin - perfect for summer dresses and bathing suits.  Added bonus: The smell is amazing and invigorating!
