Police report details stolen weapons from unmarked police car

ATLANTA, Ga. -

An Atlanta police report details what was taken in the break-in in of a law enforcement vehicle in late June.

An Atlanta officer working undercover reported a thief broke out a window and snatched guns, approximately 100 rounds of ammunition, and he also took the officer’s badge.

The officer was assigned an unmarked older model car meant to blend in.

The theft took place at a south side location used by the federal Fugitive Task Force.

Sources familiar with the incident say it is obvious the thief knew what to target.

A video camera on the parking area shows it took the crook only about ten minutes to grab all the items and make his getaway.
