The program is for children ages 6-17. They get a bird's eye view of Michigan's countryside with an experienced pilot. The free annual event took place Saturday at Oakland County International Airport. Each participant and up to two family members or friends get to take the flight in a light airplane. The day also includes a ground school to learn about airplanes and how they fly.

Each registered child also gets a T-shirt, pilot wings and a certificate.
