Its a full moon this Saturday and this full moon is just a bit closer to the earth so it has earned the title "Supermoon".
It all has to do with the elliptical orbit the moon has around the Earth. This orbit will put full moons at different distances from the Earth. This is extra special if the moon just happens to be at it's closest point when it is full. I.E. this Saturday's "Supermoon".
