Phoenix Police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects who beat an armed security officer and stole his weapon in 2007.  The officer was killed two months later as he was arriving home from work.

Sgt. Derek Elmore, a spokesperson for Silent Witness, says the aggravated robbery happened at a Circle K near 19th Avenue and Greenway.  Two unknown men are accused of assaulting the guard and stealing his weapon.  This crime happened on March 23, 2007, at about 12:40am.  On June 1, 2007, the same security guard who was attacked by the men was killed at about 3:50am, just minutes after he arrived home from work.

One of the men accused of committing the aggravated robbery is described as a black man, five foot, ten inches, 200 lbs., in his early 20's, with a possible tattoo of a woman on his forearm.  The suspect had a dark complexion and wore braided corn rows.  The second suspect in the robbery is described as a black man, five foot eleven inches, 210 lbs., with a possible tattoo of a cross on his forearm.  He also had a dark complexion and was wearing braided corn rows.  Call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS if you know who these men may be.
