TMZ: Housekeeper Found Body Of 'Glee' Star's Boyfriend In Philly Hotel

PHILADELPHIA -

The boyfriend of "Glee" star Becca Tobin was found dead Thursday in a Philadelphia hotel room, TMZ reports.

The 31-year-old man's body was found in a room at the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia on Chestnut Street, police say. The discovery was made at 12:56 p.m., and he was pronounced dead at 1:17 p.m.

Police have not released his identity, pending the results of a medical examiner's report.

But TMZ is reporting according to law enforcement sources that it was Matt Bendik, Tobin's boyfriend, and they're calling it a "sudden death," saying there's no indication that foul play was involved.

Bendik owned several nightclubs around the country.

Tobin plays the character Kitty Wilde on "Glee," which airs on FOX, and has been a cast member for two seasons.

Sources tell TMZ that he and Tobin were in town for business and had been out the night before with friends. He was reportedly found face-down by a housekeeper, but there's no mention of alcohol, drugs or weapons in the room, nor were there any visible injuries to Bendik's body.

It's not clear where Tobin was when the body was found.

This news comes a couple of days before the one year anniversary of the death of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, whose body was found in a Vancouver hotel.

TMZ's Dax Holt called the news "pretty shocking" on "Good Day Philadelphia" Friday morning.

"You know, a lot of people are talking about this and I guess because it's just such a mystery, like no one really knows how he passed away. And it sounds like it was the two of them hanging out at this hotel, and then she wasn't there when the maid found Matt's body. But I guess we're trying to dig in now and figure out if there's any more details that we can get on this story because obviously a very big story right now."
