A measure of safety: Vacant building torn down next to Wolverine Human Resources

Another danger demolished in the city of Detroit, this one especially worrisome because it was next to dozens of kids, some at-risk children who live and go to school at Wolverine Human Services on Lenox on the city's east side.

Jeff Lee of Wolverine Human Services came to Fox 2 with his frustrations about the overgrown eyesore back in May.  He was worried the building may catch on fire or that someone may use the building for a hiding place.

We called  Mayor Duggan's office and stayed on the case.  So did the city and now good things come to those who wait, the building has been knocked down.

    Bob Bashara was back in court today for what was supposed to be the final conference before his trial starts for the brutal murder of his wife.
