PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

Phoenix Fire Department investigators are trying to determine if lightning from Thursday night's storm sparked two fires just a block apart near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

Take a look at the cell phone video of one of the fires sent in by FOX 10 viewer Jamie Melara. It shows huge flames in an industrial area.

The first fire is believed to have damaged a tire shop and vehicles that were inside and nearby.

According to officials, witnesses say the second fire may have started in a wood cabinet shop.

A first alarm fire and two-alarm fire were being fought just a block apart -- just two blazes of several that kept firefighters busy overnight.

At this time, there's just no way to tell," said Capt. Mark Vanacore. "Obviously, we're shifting quite a bit of debris and devastation here over a large area.. we'll have to figure that out and it may take some time."

Close to 150 firefighters from multiple agencies battled both fires in the middle of the monsoon storm.

Fire officials have not determined the cause or exactly how many buildings were damaged by the fires.
