Emotional Tribute To Franky

Posted: Updated:
LEVITTOWN, Pa. -

It has been an emotional week for the family of Franky Talley. Frankie touched all our hearts a few months ago. When Frankie’s family was told he only had a few weeks to live they wanted him to be able to celebrate his favorite day of the year one more time- Halloween. That night was made possible. The joy we saw on his face was so inspiring. His courage touched all of us.

Sadly, Frankie passed away last week. The void he leaves is heartbreaking. God Bless his family and friends as they mourn Frankie’s passing, but celebrate his life. And what a tribute he was given this week.

On Monday, everyone gathered at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel to pay their respects to Franky. The young boy loved superheroes, so the pallbearers dressed up as his favorite characters, including The Hulk, Spiderman and Iron Man.

After the service, Franky was taken to his final resting place with a fire truck escort.  Franky was laid to rest at Holy Trinity Church Cemetery where a balloon was released in his memory.

On Tuesday, a vigil was held at JoJo's Ice Cream and Water Ice in Levittown in his honor.

Family and friends lit candles and released balloons into the air Tuesday night to show his memory lives on.

"For a 5-year-old boy to just come together and show us how strong we all could be, it warms your heart. It's an amazing feeling," said Ashley Kong, who took part in the fundraiser.
