Greenfield Village hosts Salute to America shows

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is returning to Greenfield Village for the 22nd Annual Salute to America concerts as part of celebrations around Fourth of July.

Four nights of performances led by guest conductor Bob Bernhardt are scheduled starting Wednesday in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn.

A fireworks display will close the program.

Ahead of the performances, the 1st Michigan Colonial Fife and Drum Corps will parade the concert grounds and the U.S. Army Field Band will perform. The Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus will join the Detroit Symphony Orchestra during part of its performance.

Greenfield Village is part of The Henry Ford, a history attraction that includes Henry Ford Museum.
