Police: Son Charged After Mother's Body Found In Freezer

Feltonville - Philadelphia Police say they found the body of a woman, 83, in a freezer on the 4500 block of Lee Street in Feltonville around 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police say they received a tip call that led them to the residence. When police arrived at the home, no one was home, so they entered through a window.

Inside the house, police say, they found the nude body of the woman in a freezer. 

Neighbors say the woman’s son lived in the house and was taking care of her. Police towed away the son's car on Tuesday. Some neighbors say they haven't seen her in awhile, but some neighbors say they never even knew she lived there.

Philadelphia Police say 58-year-old William Carrasquillo turned himself in on Wednesday.

According to authorities, he’s charged with abuse of a corpse.

Police believe the body may have been kept in the freezer since January.
