'Tis the season for water sports and more swimming than you more than likely have done in months. It's important to practice exercises to make you a stronger swimmer not just for safety, but also to maximize the exercise benefits.
Fox 9 fitness expert Ali Holman from CoreCamper.com shows us 5 exercises to become a stronger swimmer.
BAND ROWS: With one partner anchoring an exercise band or it wrapped around a pole, bend at waist (90 degree angle) and row back
PLANK ROWS: In an elbow plank position, row arms as if you are doing the breast stroke
BALL SINGLE ARM PUSHUPS: On knees, hips dropped--Perform a pushup with R hand on ball, then switch
STRAIGHT PLANK ROLLS: In straight plank, slowly roll hips to alternate tap to ground
CRAB KICKS: In crab position, alternate kicking feet off ground
