ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

Could you run a triathlon? what about if you were wearing 50 pounds of fire equipment on you?

Athletes from around the world are down the shore right now to take part in Challenge Atlantic City, and among them is fireman, tri-athlete and motivational speaker "Fireman Rob" Verhelst.

He'll participate in the triathlon with full firefighter equipment including helmet, oxygen tank, boots and fire coat.

Verhelst, of Madison, Wis., spoke Friday morning with FOX 29's Jennaphr Frederick on "Good Day Philadelphia."

"Fireman Rob" helps raise money for a 9/11 firemen fund and has completed 14 Ironman triathlons.

What fuels this firefighter, you may ask?

"I do this to inspire others to be a part of something bigger than themselves," Verhelst said.

Sunday's triathlon in Atlantic City consists of a 112-mile bike, a 2.4-mile swim and a 26.2 run. For more information on the event, click here.

"I just want people to get out there and inspire one another," Verhelst said.
