Zach LaVine's reaction to Timberwolves draft pick

Posted: Updated:
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

When NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Zach LaVine as the No. 13 draft pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the UCLA freshman dropped his forehead to the table, then shook his agent’s hand as hear appeared to say “F--- me.”

"I've been waiting my whole life for this moment," LaVine said after the draft. "It was just a rush of emotion that came through me. I'm on cloud nine, still. I'm ecstatic. I put my head down, thanked God, hugged my mom. You think of this as a kid and can't believe it's actually happening. I'm just ready to put my whole heart into Minnesota and just go out there and do my best."

But is Zach LaVine actually happy to be leaving the West Coast for a Minnesota Timberwolves team in turmoil? That’s the big question he’ll face at an introductory press conference in Minneapolis on Friday

“I think he’s kind of bummed out going from L.A. to Minnesota, just reading his face right now,” ESPN analyst Bill Simmons said, after the pick was announced.
