MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

The Minnesota Timberwolves will introduce 2014 NBA Draft picks Zach LaVine and Glenn Robinson III on Friday afternoon at Target Center.

Zach LaVine
Point guard, UCLA

LaVine appeared in all 37 games in his lone college season at UCLA, making just one start. The 6'5 guard averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, earning Pac 12 All-Freshman honors. LaVine brings three-point shooting to the Timberwolves, after shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range at UCLA. Originally from Seattle, LaVine was named Washington’s Mr. Basketball in 2013.

Glenn Robinson III
Small forward, Michigan

A familiar face to Gophers basketball fans, the 6’6 Robinson started all 76 games in his two-year career at Michigan career, averaging 12 points on 52.5 percent shooting. Robinson III is the son of former NBA forward Glenn Robinson, who was the first overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Timberwolves also drafted Markel Brown and Alessandro Gentile in the second round, but Brown was traded to the Brooklyn Nets and Gentile to the Houston Rockets – each for cash considerations.

The massive steel beams may be going up at the future home of the Vikings, but it'll still be a couple of years before they can stay there. In the interim, they'll be at TCF Bank stadium -- and it's changing to welcome them.
