Surveillance Video Captures Cobbs Creek Car Crash

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - Heart-stopping video captured the crash that sent three people to the hospital, including a child on Thursday.

Surveillance video shows moments after two cars collide, sending one onto the curb as people are walking near the corner store.

It happened at 59th and Cedar Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia just before 6 p.m. on Thursday.

One car came to a stop in front of the railing in front of the store. The other was in the intersection. You can see in the video a crowd of people rush over to help.

One witness describes a chain of events she’ll never forget. Denise Kinney says she was sitting on her porch across the street when it happened.

Kinney said she heard people calling for help.

"I seen her hollering and screaming and the little boy was caught in between the railing and the car,” said Kinney.

It's unclear what caused the accident.

And no word from police yet as to whether anyone was actually hit by a car or hurt trying to avoid being hit.

Police say a child is at CHOP and an adult is at HUP both in stable condition.
