Residents of one Coweta County subdivision were surprised when federal and local drug agents swooped down on a home in their quiet neighborhood.
It came as police in Florida connected a Florida father and son pot growing operation to an address in Coweta County.
Investigators say hundreds of marijuana plants were found growing under the bright light of the basement in a Senoia home. The Coweta County Sheriff says the million dollar operation was the complete thing from growing to distribution.
The raid on the home happened Wednesday afternoon. Investigators say it started in Jackson County with the arrest of a father and son.
Property records led federal investigators to the Senoia address on Meadows Road.
Federal agents and Coweta County deputies seized more than 300 plants, as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in hi-tech growing equipment.
Investigators tell FOX 5 they are checking other property records as well.
