With the unbelievable deluge of rain that may only happen once every 100 years, there is no surprise that major river flooding will be a problem heading through the next week or two. Area creeks have already crested in most cases (some at record levels) and are on their way down, but this is just the beginning of the flooding as the water makes its way downstream to the major waterways like the Crow, Minnesota, and Mississippi Rivers. Here is the timing and type of each major crest in select locations. Just anticipate the majority of rivers to crest from upstream to downstream with the major crests around the metro occurring by the middle to end of the week from the 25th to 27th.
