VIDEO: Motorcyclist Cartwheels Through Air After Crash

CLEARWATER, Fla. - He says without the video, you'd never believe his story.

"Now that you can see the footage, what (I) was saying was the truth!" said Michael Smith. "I just thought nobody cared. I could honestly be dead."

On May 24th, Smith was headed up Belcher at Gulf to Bay on a motorcycle. He says the light was yellow.

The other driver, Alex Hall thought it was red, and made a left.

"I had to brace for impact," said Smith. "I knew there was no way I was dodging it, laying down the bike, there was none of that."

He had liftoff.

"I just let it all go from there," he said. "I was upside down, and I had my shades on and I was like yo. I could either land on my feet or my head right now. And right after I got done thinking that, I landed on my feet, rolled, and get the BLEEP up, let me get up, sorry about that!"

After his feet hit, he did another flip and then walked around..

"I'm walking to make sure everything is cool, you know? I'm like that was real, you know what I mean? What just happened was real. My bike, 'Lindsay Lohan' was down."

"Lindsay" was totaled.

The side of the car was dented.

"Everybody just runs out of their car and was like, 'What was that?!'"

Smith wasn't wearing a helmet, and was cited for not having a motorcycle endorsement. He promises to get one before his court date.

He's just glad he has a court date.

"I have eight lives left. I used the one that day," Smith said.

Hall was cited for making an illegal left turn, but he says that the light was definitely red.

He says it was Michael who broke the rules by running the light.

Witnesses at the scene agreed with Michael's version of events.

Now, it's up to the insurance companies.
