With Thursday morning’s rain (3.57 inches at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as of 11 a.m), we now have more than 10 inches of rain for the month of June in the Twin Cities – a brand new record. The metro could easily get another 1 to 2 inches of rain by the end of the day Thursday. VIEW PHOTOS

In the past 80 days, the Twin Cities metro received 19.73 inches of rain.

That’s equal to 2/3 of an average annual rainfall.

This is the wettest start to a year in the Twin Cities since 1871.

If all of the precipitation of the past 6 months was snow, it would equal 10.5 feet.
