MAYFAIR -

Philadelphia Police are investigating an attempted break-in at a church in Mayfair.

FOX 29’s Jennifer Joyce reports two of the three juveniles have been arrested in the case.

After breaking into The Church of Grace Of Fujinese on the 3300 block Of Wellington Street, police say the three juveniles vandalized the property.

The marquee sign has completely been ripped off; letters are strewn against the property. This happened around 2:00 am when the three minors came to the church armed with a ladder used to break in.

Police responded and arrived quickly after they were called to the scene. Two of the three suspects involved initially took off, but one girl was later taken into custody.

A police K-9 sniffed out a third suspect, who was still inside the church when police arrived.

We talked a resident in the neighborhood who says he has seen an increase in crime in the area.

It is unclear whether or not the suspects were able to get away with any items from inside the church.
