ST. PAUL PARK, Minn. (KMSP) -

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a dangerous felon, just released from prison in Wisconsin, may be headed toward St. Paul Park after a post-release crime spree.

Eric “Buck” Hall was just released from prison on June 10 and has committed burglaries, stolen several vehicles and is a felon in possession of two firearms. Police in Wisconsin believe Hall may be headed toward St. Paul Park, Minn., where he has connections, or to Vilas County, Wis., where he has an ongoing child custody dispute with an ex-girlfriend.

June 13: Chippewa County deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle reported stolen from River Falls, Wis. The suspect fled on foot after crashing into the woods. Eau Claire police, Chippewa County deputies and a Wisconsin State Patrol helicopter searched the area but did not locate the suspect. Hall was identified as the suspect in security video from a gas station in Cadott, Wis., where the stolen truck was filled with gas.

Hall is also believed to be the suspect in the burglary of a grocery store and restaurant in River Falls, in which he used a baseball bat or axe to break the glass and steal money from a safe and gambling machine. Officers also took a complaint of a stolen Ford Explorer in the area. The maroon SUV has a Wisconsin Harley Davidson license plate 10377HD. The SUV has one “black cats” hockey sticker and one River Falls Hockey sticker on the back window.

June 14: The Chippewa County sheriff’s office was alerted to two separate incidents of stolen vehicles, including one vehicle that contained a shotgun and a rifle with 200 rounds of ammunition.

June 15: The Chippewa County sheriff’s office was alerted to another stolen vehicle in New Auburn, Wis. The tan Chevrolet Silverado pickup, with Wisconsin plate JE7691, has several pink, hunting-theme stickers and pink camouflage on the rocker panels.

Police in Wisconsin urge caution to the public and police officers, as “it is obvious Eric Hall is taking whatever actions necessary” to avoid arrest. Any possible sightings or known whereabouts should be reported to investigator Chris Kowalczyk at 715-726-7714.
