Lansing still debating road repair funding

Posted: Updated:
LANSING, Mich. (WJBK) - Time is running out for lawmakers in Lansing to agree on how to pay for repairs to our crumbling roads.

The Senate continues to debate a long-term road funding package.

Wednesday night, they voted down a proposal that would have given voters a chance to decide on a one percent sales tax increase in November.

Another failed plan to fix the roads would have doubled the state's gasoline tax.
