Victim speaks out after suspected serial flasher charged in 6 new cases

DETROIT (WJBK) - "He flashed hisself, just waving his stuff, and I'd be looking like, is someone going to find him?" wondered Porsche Jackson.

Luckily, police finally did.

Mario James, 39, was arrested and charged with exposing himself to several young female students as they walked to school in Detroit.

Prosecutors have now increased the cases against him to nine, but that number is expected to go up even more with girls like Porsche coming forward.

The 15-year-old says she first remembered this happening two years ago when she was an 8th grader at Durfee Middle School.

"The truck was green and he was dark skinned. ... From my experience, it was like seven times," she says.

It was a description from victims, a tip from the public and a green truck captured on surveillance that led investigators to James, who we're told has eight children of his own.

He is accused of parking his green truck along the school route and flashing girls as they crossed the street.

"What do you get out of doing that? You know what I'm saying? That's just ridiculous," says Vickey Gunter. She and her daughter regret not calling police when it first happened, but now that the suspect's identity has been revealed it's believed so many more innocent young girls will finally speak up.

"They don't need to know what this type of stuff is and it's bad enough they already know, you know what I'm saying, what it is. I'm glad he's locked up," says Gunter.

"I'm happy because that stuff shouldn't be going around. You shouldn't be doing that type of stuff," says Porsche.

James faces charges ranging from aggravated indecent exposure to accosting children for immoral purposes.

Any other victims are asked to call Detroit Public School's police department.
