State wildlife officials captured a small black bear that had been wandering around Paramus, N.J., for a couple of days.

The bear climbed up a tree off Winters Avenue Thursday afternoon. That is where officials managed to contain it with flares and then tranquilize it, NorthJersey.com reported.

Video from SkyFoxHD showed the bear sitting in the tree for some time as officials and officers waited below.

The bear was set to be released on state land in Sussex County.
