The Miss New Jersey Pageant is one week away.The pageant will be held in Ocean City for the 18th time on June 12-14. The annual parade on the boardwalk kicks off the festivities on Wednesday night, June 11, 7 p.m.
All 24 contestants will dress to replicate this year’s theme, “The Red Carpet on the Ocean City Boardwalk,” and will be “Showing Their Shoes” as is the custom in Miss America sponsored parades.

The preliminary round will be held June 12-13, and the finals are set for June 14 at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace.
All programs begin at 7:30 p.m. and the winner advances to the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.
Miss Eastern Shores Devon Vanderslice, a former Miss Ocean City, will represent the city in the pageant. She attends West Chester University. Her talent is Dance and her platform is “Donate the Gift of Life,” Organ Donation.
Sarah Ford, who will compete in the pageant as Miss Cape May County, is a former Little Miss and Junior Miss Ocean City. She attends the University of Pittsburgh and her talent is Dance. Her platform is Smiles Save: Healing through hospital volunteerism.
