WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) - Warren police continue to investigate the disappearance of a 51-year-old resident, Kimberly Ann Dejohn. Police say Dejohn was reported missing on Wednesday, May 28, but was last seen on Wednesday, May 14.

Now, police say they believe they are investigating a homicide.

"The evidence in the home strongly suggests, and I believe, that this is not a missing persons situation anymore. We're looking at it strongly as homicide," says Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green. He says his team believes Kimberly was attacked inside her Warren home.

Her sisters reported a missing persons report after not hearing from her for two weeks.

Tuesday, Warren and Michigan State Police searched the home Kimberly shared with her husband, Lloyd Dejohn, who is now charged with aggravate domestic violence.

He told police the couple had a fight at the home on May 14th. Then, he lawyered up.

"We got some positive hits. We found additional evidence of evidence that we did not find during the original search warrant strongly suggesting and confirming that there was a struggle in the home," says Green.

Family says the couple had a history of domestic violence on both sides.

"Please call me. She's always called me when she got in a fight. That's why I am so worried that this time it just went too far," Kimberly's sister sister Dawn Hyslop told FOX 2 on Tuesday.

Police will continue the search for Kimberly on Thursday. FOX 2's Maurielle Lue reports authorities are also pouring through phone and bank records, as well as interviewing a possible witness to the attack.
