UPDATE: 1 dead, 3 injured in Newnan teen crash

NEWNAN, Ga. -

UPDATE: Zachary Harrison, 18, has died of injuries sustained in an accident that injured 4 Newnan High students on May 22. According to Georgia State Patrol, Harrison passed away at Atlanta Medical Center on Friday. He will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery in Jesup.

Four graduating seniors were involved in an automobile accident Thursday morning in Coweta County and three remain hospitalized.

The accident took place on Corinth Road.

According to officials, the car crossed the center lane, touched the opposite shoulder and then went out of control.

William Holloway, 17, was driving the Mitsubishi and Zachary Harrison, 18, was riding passenger in the front. Both were airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center where they are in critical condition.

Zachery Self, 18, and Dustin Brenon, 18, were riding in the back of the vehicle. They were taken to Piedmont Newnan Hospital and one of them has been released.

The four seniors were supposed to graduate from Newnan High School Friday night.
