In the kitchen: Walleye tacos

Walleye Tacos

*Serves 3 to 4
Use 1 pound fresh walleye fillet


1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 cup chopped white onion

dash of chili pepper

3 tablespoons lime juice

3 tablespoons orange juice

1/2 mango, diced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 cup olive oil


Combine ingredients into Ziploc bag or baking dish. Chill and marinate for one hour. Brush grill with oil and brush marinade on both sides of walleye and place on grill. Cook on medium high heat for 3 to 5 minutes per side. Warm either corn or flour tortillas or pitas. Spoon fish into tortilla and serve topped with mango salsa.
