It wouldn't be Memorial Day without great food, and just because it tastes great, it does not mean it can't be healthy and light!
Fox 9 fitness expert Ali Holman from CoreCamper.com shows you how to make her easy, healthy Memorial Day treats.
1. Red, banana and blue kabobs
Put blueberries in the upper left corner, and then make the red & white stripes with bananas and strawberries!
2. Red, white and blue parfait
In individual cups, put angel food cake squares, strawberries, then blueberries, then light cool whip layered
3. Flavored waters
Hydrate your guests with All Citrus, Raspberry Lime or Pineapple Mint Flavored Water
4. CoreCamper NO MAYO Perfect Picnic Cold Salad
3 seedless cucumbers (cubed)
1 carton grape tomatoes (halved)
3 cans organic beets (No salt & cut in quarters)
2 cans organic chick peas
1 can black pitted olives (chopped)
1 Good Seasoning packet mixed with red wine vinegar
Drain and rinse chick peas, beets and olives.
Chop all veggies as directed above or to your liking.
Mix dressing & pour 1/2 of the bottle over salad (or to your liking).
Chill & serve!
