Be mindful of your negativity
o When you hate your job, everyone notices, vicious cycle b/c it’s not getting your anywhere but in trouble with your boss.
o Be mindful about negative energy you’re focusing on (what you don’t/didn’t get).
o Affects your family, friendships, depression, weight, etc.
Focus on your awesome skill set and how you want to be perceived at work
o Remember why you’re good at your job.
o What skills, talents and competencies do you have to offer the company?
o Are you utilizing them? If not, how can you?
Commit to reinvesting in your role (training, volunteering for projects, learning something new)
o Be conscious of how much “checking-out you do.
o Re-engage, even if you have to force it.
Commit to something exciting outside of work
o Find something that feels good, that you can get excited about, and go do it!
o Excitement and positive energy will change your perspective, and follow you to the office.
Change your thoughts for a brighter outlook
o T houghts > Feelings > Actions
o If you want to change your actions/behavior, you need to start with changing your thoughts.
