Another storm is set to move into the Upper Midwest as we go forward which means more rain, some possibly heavy, for the already saturated ground. Widespread flooding is not expected, however some local ponding and low lying flooding is a possibility. Scattered showers will develop Saturday afternoon and evening with generally light rain amounts. But a much larger storm arrives Mother’s Day afternoon with widespread shower and thunderstorm activity expected by the end of the day. This rain will likely linger through much of Monday as well. In fact, by the time we get to Tuesday, some spots may have received another 2 inches of water. Check out the current 72 hour rainfall forecast from Saturday morning to Tuesday morning.
Have the umbrella handy, and a jacket because both will be needed the next few days!
