Missing retired police officer with Alzheimer’s located safely

A retired Chicago Police officer suffering from Alzheimer’s disease reported missing since from the North Side Edgewater neighborhood has been reunited with his family.

Chicago Police issued a high risk missing person alert for 71-year-old Maurice Clayton, who was last seen Friday about 3:30 p.m. as he was dropped off from a visit to a wellness center near his home in the 1400 block of West Gregory Street, the alert said.

He has since been located safely and reunited with his family, police said Saturday.
