Third grader draws giant Hawks logo in chalk

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - A Wheaton third grader is making big news on social media for an impressive Blackhawks-themed drawing he made with only sidewalk chalk.

Using his family's driveway as a canvas, 8-year-old Colin Jamen drew a giant Blackhawks logo. DNAinfo reports the artwork took him an hour and a half to finish.

Colin drew the logo on Saturday and shortly after, a friend posted a photo of the drawing on social media. After that, the photo blew up on social media!

"I've never drawn something that big with chalk, and I've never had so many people talk about my drawings," Colin, who attends Madison Elementary School, told DNAinfo. "I'm happy to know that so many people have liked this drawing."

He says he drew the photo in honor of the Blackhawks 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs run. Friday, the Hawks will take on the Minnesota Wild in Minnesota. The puck drops at 8:30 p.m.
