NFL DRAFT: Who will the Vikings pick?

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) - The time has come -- the NFL Draft is upon us. While most everyone loves him or herself some Johnny Football, many Vikings fans agree their team desperately needs help on defense.

With the eighth overall pick, the Vikings are sort of in no man’s land.

Top defensive players like Jadeveon Clowney and Khalil Mack will likely be gone. General manager Rick Spielman has never been shy about moving in the draft, and it’s probably more likely that he’ll move down in the draft than up. For a team with a lot of holes, including the quarterback position, the more picks the better.

One name that has been linked to just about every team in the top-10 is Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. The Vikings need a quarterback like America needs McDonald’s. You may remember, though, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer called Manziel's pro day a “side show.” Will his game translate to the NFL? That's a hotly contested topic.

The draft starts at 7 p.m. tonight on ESPN and NFL Network.
