If you're looking to give a special arrangement to mom for Mother's Day, we had Celebrity Floral Designer Eric Buterbaugh here with his tips and tricks for the perfect bouquet.

Eric Buterbaugh: Tips for creating your own lasting Mother's Day flower arrangement:

The Bouqs Company:

The Bouqs is the premier source for fresh, easy and affordable flower delivery. The days of complicated flower-delivery websites that waste time and money are over, with The Bouqs' efficient platform for purchasing eco-friendly flowers. The site and upcoming mobile app also allows you to schedule recurring deliveries of flowers, so you never forget that special occasion. The flowers are delivered directly to your door from farms in the mountains of Ecuador with a new option to overnight flowers from local farms in California.

Tip #1: Know your source!

Make sure the flowers you buy haven't been sitting in a warehouse or refrigerator for weeks, or expect them to die right away! At thebouqs.com you get flowers direct from local California farms that are cut when you order.

Tip #2: Simple is sophisticated.

One color or monochromatic arrangements in a vase can be modern and stunning. You don't have to over think it. Pick two flower types of a similar color and arrange them one by one altering between the varieties. You will have a modern looking arrangement in minutes.

Tip #3: No baby's breath!

Avoid the cheap fillers like baby's breath and instead choose the nicer accents like phlox, solidago, ruscus, and dianthus to compliment your focal flowers.

Tip #4: Make them last.

Eric's trick to longer lasting flowers starts right when you receive them. To get them vase ready, pull practicality all the leaves off the stems, cut the stems at your desired length and at a 45-degree angle, and then put them in a clean vase with fresh water. After that, recut the stems and change the water everyday. Also, keep them out of direct sunlight.
