A rave for babies and toddlers in Times Square

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

DJ Troya was spinning beats. Hanging with the DJ is always the hottest spot in the club. But these guys it could be a little difficult. They may have to crawl up here. Welcome to your first baby rave!

Valet your stroller at the door, grab a "cocktail" (e.g. apple juice), and get in line. Baby Rave is the hottest party in Times Square. Well, at 10:30 in the morning. There's flashing lights, dancers, and children 4 months to 4 years old rocking out.

New Victory Programming is putting on the two week show.

"We've been noticing a trend in places like Europe and Australia dance and theater companies creating work for the very, very young," says Jonathan Schmidt, the artistic programming director.

Erika Reid of Baby Rave says: "All about sensory play, we start with slow gentle bass, we do use proper house music it appears to adults across the board."

Moms say it's not your typical "Mommy and Me" class. They can show off their dance moves, too.

Tickets are $15. The show will run until May 18. It's sure to be a knock out.

Heavy thunderstorms swept through the tri-state on Sunday causing flash floods and lightning strikes that injured 3 people. The three men were struck at Orchard Beach in the Bronx Sunday afternoon and were being treated at a local hospital. Meanwhile, various Labor Day weekend celebrations were interrupted, delayed and even canceled as the U.S. Open tennis tournament had to be postponed and the Electric Zoo musical festival on Randall's Island had to be prematurely shut down.
