Minnesota's final bid for 2018 Super Bowl delivered

The Minnesota Super Bowl Bid Committee has submitted its final bid to host Super Bowl LII in 2018, the Vikings confirmed Wednesday morning.

NFL owners will vote on the Super Bowl host city May 20. Competing with the Vikings for the 2018 Super Bowl are Indianapolis and New Orleans.

MINNEAPOLIS BID HIGHLIGHTS

- 19,000 rooms at 180 hotels for 4 nights for Super Bowl fans

- Multiple outstanding practice sites for two teams

- Recently expanded Mall of America

- 48 different venue options for Super Bowl Week

- Light rail transit to stadium

- Integration of winter events, including a flagship event at the St. Paul Winter Carnival

- NFL Legacy Program to provide $2 million toward Minnesota charities that enhance the health, wellness and safety of children
