It’s the 5th month of the year and we are ready to warm things up. If we stick to the averages, the "Merry old month of May" will give us that much needed boost in temperature. However, you don’t need me to tell you that we have had a hard time being average lately. So let’s get some inspiration by looking at the numbers.
Keep in mind we had snow last May, a half inch total for the first four days of the month, so anything can happen. Good or Bad. The average date of the first tornado warning is May 12. We can still get below freezing and we can even go through a blistering heat wave. Its all up in the air this month.
