They say that April showers will bring May flowers, but at this rate, we are going to have one heck of an allergy season once those flowers start blooming.

Our “Slow Low,” “Sit and Spin Low” or as Karen Scullin calls it, a “Lousy Low” has been keeping the taps running since Sunday. Now that we are down to a trickle, we can start to add up the rain totals, when we add them to the rest of the month’s rainfall; it gives us enough to claim the number two spot on the list of wettest Aprils.

For those of you who like to take it farther, here is a list of the top 10 wettest Aprils of all time here in the Twin Cities. To give you some perspective, the average rainfall for April is 2.7".
