PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. -
Authorities have tripled the reward money for information leading to an arrest and/or conviction in the fatal stabbing of a Paradise Valley man last month.

Officials with the Silent Witness program say the new reward amount is $3,000.

Paradise Valley police say 68-year-old Michael Gilman's personal assistant found him dead inside his home near Lincoln Drive and Tatum Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, Gilman was stabbed to death.

On April 30, investigators got a search warrant and gathered evidence at the home trying to find clues that will lead them to a suspect.

"Number one is locating evidence. Evidence that's going to lead us to the next step in the investigation that's going to break the case open, and then the other is managing all the information that comes in. Often we get volumes of anonymous tips or friends and family members called in and trying to manage and track all that information can be very challenging," said Lt. Michael Cole.

The personal assistant was interviewed by detectives after finding the gruesome scene inside the home. But he was released, and police say he has no connection to the crime.

Detectives are working on several leads, but officers aren't naming a suspect at this time.

Paradise Valley police are asking anyone who may have information that will help track down a suspect to call them at 480-948-7410 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
