3-day rain totals: Heaviest rain behind us

Posted: Updated:

The rain moved in late Saturday night and is still with us. However, the heaviest rain is now behind us and we can expect showers from this point on. Unfortunately, the clouds will linger as the area of low pressure continues to move at a snail’s pace. The dry air and sunshine is to our south and the severe weather even farther away. The moisture from the Gulf is east of the area of low pressure and is consumed mostly by thunderstorms before wrapping around into our neck of the woods.
