ADRIAN, Mich. (AP) -- Officials in Adrian have decided to move away from downtown a sculpture that some residents complained was too racy.

The Daily Telegram reports "Blue Human Condition" is to be installed in a park. It had been placed next to city offices last week.

Weather permitting, the sculpture is to be situated Tuesday in Yew Park.

City Administrator Shane Horn says the new site is "still viewable, but in a lesser traffic area."

"Blue Human Condition" was created by Mark Chatterley of Williamston. It depicts seven human-like, gender-neutral figures in varying standing and seated positions. One of the figures looks toward the ground with the top of its head in the pelvic region of one of the standing figures.

Chatterley says he's disappointed his sculpture is being moved.
