Jack Jablonski, ESPN's Michelle Beadle go to prom - KMSP-TV

Jack Jablonski had the best prom ever

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. (KMSP) - Jack Jablonski had the best prom ever.

The Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player who was paralyzed during a game two years ago asked Michelle Beadle, host of SportsNation on ESPN, to prom back in March while the two were both on the Mike and Bob Show on Sports Radio 105 the Ticket.

Of course, she said yes, and after a resolution with the school that typically does not allow anyone over 20 to attend the prom to protect the students from alcohol exposure, the pair had a night to remember.

Beadle took to Twitter to provide a play-by-play and also snapped a few selfies throughout the evening.

"I thought, 'It probably seems awfully creepy,'" she told Fox 9 News by phone about a month before prom. "Then, I thought, 'I'm just going to show up like Matthew McConaughey in 'Dazed and Confused' and hang out at a prom.'"

@MichelleDBeadle I'm a 38 year old getting ready for prom. My hair will be slightly smaller and my bum slightly bigger. And I'm also nervous. What?!?!

Get in line ladies, Jablonski knows how to pull together a classy evening -- he and his family took Beadle to Manny's for dinner the night before prom.

Jablonski will graduate from Benilde in June.
