It has been a pretty wet second half of the month of April with 2 different storms affecting the area just in the last week, and a third one their heels will likely dampen the second half of the upcoming weekend.
Moisture is a welcome sight for most farmers though as it was a very dry fall, leaving the ground fairly parched before the winter freeze took hold.
Now that the soil is warmer, it is soaking up every last drop.
That being said, most areas are now above average in the rain department for the month… and with another potential big rain maker on the way, this could be a pretty soggy start to May.
